Fee
Our basic rate is 170,00 EUR/hour, excluding VAT.
However, the fee is always determined individually on the basis of the particular characteristics of the case you have entrusted us with. This takes into account the complexity of the case, the urgency of the requested intervention and the experience of the lawyer handling it. All thhis will be discussed during the initial consultation. Depending on the characteristics of your case, a different basic rate may be agreed upon.
Upon request and solely for well-defined assignments, a fixed price can be agreed upon.
Costs
In addition to our hourly rate, the handling of your case also involves costs. Some costs are fixed whereas others can vary.
In our invoicing you can find the following costs:
Creation of file, data storage, archiving and destruction of file after 5 years (fixed): 100,00 EUR
Letters (cost per letter): 10,00 EUR
E-mails out (cost per shipment): 1,50 EUR
E-mails in (cost per shipment): 1,00 EUR
Registered mail (cost per shipment): 20,00 EUR
Print / photocopy (cost per sheet): 0,25 EUR
Cost of banc transfers (per financial transaction): 2,00 EUR
Travel outside Ghent (cost per km): 0,50 EUR
Travel within Ghent: actual parking cost or cost of public transport
Consultation of external paid database: 15,00 EUR
In addition, there may be advanced procedure costs, paid out by your lawyer to a bailiff (costs of summons, service and/or execution of a judgment,...) or to the court (legal charges.). These costs are charged on a one-to-one basis.
Invoice terms
The payment term of our invoices is 15 days. After the due date, a default interest is automatically payable without a reminder; at the legal interest rate for private individuals or at the interest rate according to the Law on Combating Late Payment, as well as a lump-sum compensation of 10% on the invoice amount if you are a business owner.
